Anna Rose Lowenthal graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and Minor in Sustainability in May, 2020. Her design aesthetic is nostalgic and pulls inspiration from her family and Jewish heritage. She is very focused on sustainability in the fashion industry and ways she can lower her impact. She is interested in textile design as well and is experienced in the use of natural dyes. For her thesis collection she utilized sustainable fabrics such as vintage linens and machine knits and used only natural dyes. Growing up in Colorado led to her understanding of sustainability and the importance of it. She hopes to help create a more sustainable and environmentally conscious fashion industry.
